"Calrec VCS Assignable console. Digitally controlled
analogue. Ex Channel 4 TV. Calrec was one of a select few companies that
pioneered the assignable technology at a commercial level that was
technically acceptable and reliable enough for 24/7 live broadcast.
The top image shows the two racks of electronics that go with the console.
Also shown is the patch rack.
Some guys on ebay who are not particularly well informed try to sell parts
such as the EQ or dynamics cards on their own, not realising that a whole
mass of electronics and software is required to control them. Buyer beware
is a major understatement"
